Job Description

The Reliability/Maintenance Engineer is responsible for providing the technical program leadership and implementation activities to maximize the maintenance related uptime and operating efficiencies of equipment and facility assets in compliance with cGMP requirements and the Occupational Health and Safety Act for the production located in Franklin, Ohio.


  • Developing the overall Reliability Program for the site including Vision & mission statements, Bad actors List, development of various reliability-related SOP’s such as vibration analysis, etc.
  • Manage Predictive Maintenance (PdM) Program, including new PdM technology selection/implementation and/or 3rd Party program oversight.
  • Manage asset database in EAMS, including equipment hierarchy and Reliability Ranking (criticality).
  • Develops equipment reliability plans that reduce the number of failures and minimizes the effects of failures that do occur.  Revises and creates preventative maintenance plans in EAMS.
  • Promotes the use of Reliability Engineering concepts and tools to the Engineering and Production departments
  • Performs reliability analysis to identify root causes of chronic ongoing equipment issues.
  • Manages spare parts inventory system adding parts, defining criticality, tracking stock levels
  • Partners with Production and Quality Team Leads on troubleshooting and scheduling.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.  (Mechanical/Electrical Engineer preferred).
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Profession (CMRP) preferred. 


  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in pharmaceutical facilities and equipment
  • Experience in reliability based maintenance practices
  • Knowledge of GMP, OSHA and FDA regulations applicable to the pharmaceutical industry
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
