Job Description

Position Purpose/Summary: The Production Supervisor is responsible for achieving immediate and short-term objectives of output, quality, waste, yield, safety and overtime costs.


Position Responsibilities-Tasks-Deliverables

Responsible for the day-to-day leadership of compounding and production departments on any given shift.  Supervise leads, compounders, pre-weighers, material handlers, sanitizers and manufacturing personnel to ensure batching and production schedules are completed efficiently within specifications.


  • Manage execution of compounding, pre-weigh and production schedule to assure compliance of overall plant schedule.
  • Manage materials and manpower to insure that daily production plans are met.
  • Control material flows and inventory accuracy through the use of internal business system.
  • Maintain spending within budget guidelines for labor, material and supplies.
  • Supervise, train and certify hourly personnel in specific job duties.
  •  Drive departmental improvement through effective training program of assigned staff.
  • Ensure all safety, GMP and regulatory requirements are met through active involvement and audit of all manufacturing departments.
  • Actively participate in company-wide Continuous Improvement process.



  • BS Degree required-Chemical or Mechanical engineering degree preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years supervising experience in a cGMP regulated environment with strong leadership skills in a fast paced plant operations environment.
  • Proven verbal/written communication skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
  • Strong computer literacy skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, ERP  and Timekeeping systems.
  • Must be willing to work on any of the 3 shifts, and available for O.T. when necessary.

Experience (years and topics):

  • 3 years manufacturing supervisory experience in related industry strongly preferred.
  • Has proven experience and/or knowledge to qualify as a Production Supervisor
  • Liquid manufacturing strongly desired
  • Experience in safety, regulated production/GMP, planning, logistics, quality, engineering, R&D or other related area

Technology/Software (years):

  • Experience with an ERP system in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ Years experience with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook)


  • Ability to speak Spanish and English fluently is preferred.
  • Ability to write and speak clearly and willingness to openly communicate.
  • Team player who builds trust and commands a level of respect.
