Allied Reliability is looking for a Maintenance Technician III to work at a manufacturing facility in Columbus, MS. The Maintenance Technician III performs assigned equipment care, preventive maintenance and corrective work orders, according to established procedures. With limited direction, performs non-complex maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation tasks. Assigns tasks to fellow team members in the absence of a Coordinator. Trains others. Performs other leadership duties.

Maintains, troubleshoots, repairs, installs, and modifies equipment as directed, following established requirements, safety and other procedures.
- Executes assigned routine equipment care, preventive maintenance, and corrective work for equipment.
- Responds to operator calls and takes appropriate action.
- Installs new equipment and makes major modifications correctly, in a professional manner, when supplied with instructions.
- Troubleshoots problems with various non-complex electrical and mechanical systems and controls. Seeks assistance from others as needed. Takes necessary corrective measures.
- Supports Maintenance Planner in developing job plans, to include materials, steps, duration, coordination, etc.
- Assists in ensuring everything is on hand and ready when job is scheduled to begin.
- Assists in administering the work order system including prioritization, job close-out, history documentation, and other tasks.
- Seeks out and recommends equipment and process improvements.
- Conducts on-the-job training and assists other technicians as needed.
- Completes special projects as assigned.
- Provides team leadership in absence of Coordinator.
- Uses human relations and leadership skills to solve non-complex employee relations problems, cooperation problems, team building, job assignments, etc.
- Sometimes direct the work of other maintenance personnel.
- Works with vendors and service suppliers regarding equipment parts and supplies.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma.
- Knowledge equivalent to two-year Technical School courses in at least one trade plus journeyman level skills in at least two other trades desired.
- Five years of applicable industrial maintenance experience desired.
- Ability to deliver results within scope of responsibilities.
- Ability to take and give verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to complete work assignments correctly, in an expeditious and professional manner.
- Understands mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics and flow diagrams and can interpret them to others.
- Good reading, writing, math, and administrative skills.
- Moderate skill in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the CMMS.
