Job Description

Allied Reliability is looking for experienced individuals for a Direct-Hire Maintenance Superintendent role with a large, industry leading, manufacturer in Augusta, GA! The Maintenance Superintendent will report to the Mill Manager.


Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise the electrical and mechanical team at a large wood-products facility
  • Maintain safety standards within the team
  • Provide leadership, training and development of the mill maintenance team
  • Maintain and improve reliability procedures
  • Manage maintenance costs
  • Manage internal and external maintenance resources
  • Prepare budgets
  • Set priorities
  • Work effectively with production, quality and safety team members


  • Five years’ experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a sawmill or industrial operation
  • Experience with preventative maintenance procedures
  • Able to interpret electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings
  • Familiar with OSHA regulations and the National Electric Code
  • 2 or 4 year degree in related field would be a plus
  • Knowledge of safety procedures
  • Supervisory experience
  • Team building and motivational skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Leadership qualities
