Responsibilities

What you will do… 

As a Maintenance Planner you will be responsible for the development and control of the Maintenance Weekly Work Schedules, including balancing the workload with the available resources.  Will be required to successfully maintain accurate schedules throughout development, execution and validation through data.

Keys to your success…

  • Working with plant teams and maintenance personnel in identifying, updating procedures and planning work including ordering of parts and planning the execution of work.
  • Coaching and developing area maintenance and other personnel in preventive/predictive maintenance principles and concepts.
  • Assisting with planning and implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance procedures on key processing equipment.
  • Reviewing work orders to ensure work is completed in a satisfactory manner and ensure employee performance in work completed.
  • Understanding and utilizing Total Productive Manufacturing (TPM) concepts to drive continuous improvement and finished product conformance to requirements by coaching and developing employee skills in these areas.
  • Coordination, development and updates to Work Schedules to ensure an accurate product for use in effective planning, resource allocation, parts acquisition, schedule execution and validation of work effectiveness on production goals.
  • Development of detailed, accurate and usable schedules and reports to provide effective management tools for execution and feedback.
  • Coordination with outside vendors to support business needs and objectives, including unsatisfactory quality or service items.
  • Helping to determine training needs of maintenance employees; help facilitate set up and schedule of training as necessary

Qualifications

What you will need to be considered…

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (Engineering, Operations Management and 1-3 years of supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing related industry or
  • Associates degree in related field (Engineering, Operations Management) with 3-5 years supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing related industry or
  • 5+ years supervisory experience in an industrial manufacturing related industry
  • Minimum of 2 years of preventive and predictive maintenance experience.
  • In-depth experience with CMMS systems (ex. Tabware).

  • Technical: Ability to work with highly complex and automated manufacturing equipment.  Strong reliability based maintenance skills.  Practical experience with Lean principles. Experience and/or exposure to Tabware and/or ERP system
  • Problem Solver: Ability to think outside the box, find constructive solutions, act independently
  • Team Player: Respects solutions that are efficiently and effectively found through collaboration and cooperation
  • Project Manager: Ability to plan and execute both small and mid-sized projects from start to finish
