Job Description

Contract Maintenance Engineering - Nebraska City

Duration of assignment 6mos to 1 yr.

We are looking for a maintenance engineering resource that will identify & resolve machinery issues impacting quality and output.  The scope of work involves reviewing failures with maintenance and operations personnel to identify root causes and implement corrective actions that can be implemented quickly.  



Responsibilities

The scope of the corrective actions includes;

  • Coordinating immediate repairs with maintenance personnel to address equipment impacting quality or output
  • Developing standard maintenance procedures for repairs, rebuilds and machine adjustments
  • Identifying critical tolerances and establish criteria for when to rebuild machinery
  • Reviewing and improving the effectiveness and quality of Preventative Maintenance & TPM plans
  • Establishing equipment operating parameters and working with engineering and operations groups to improve operational consistency
  • Proposing and implementing minor mechanical design enhancements to increase reliability.     
  • Providing input into the scope of the programs used to interface with operations and will assist in developing improved equipment information systems and other miscellaneous tasks. 


Qualifications

Skills

  • Detailed machinery maintenance experience working with machinery in cutting, forming, conveying, assembly services, pneumatics and automation
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience
