What We Are Looking For

Reporting to the Facilities Manager and Automation Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of various food packaging equipment to ensure cost-effective operations. The Maintenance Technician will bring deep knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic controls/PLC components to support our automated packaging equipment.


About the Role

  • Perform preventive maintenance on all packaging equipment according to maintenance schedule
  • Repair automation equipment to keep machines running continuously
  • Respond promptly to service requests with high levels of internal customer service
  • Assist and train machine operators to improve operating efficiency
  • Maintain parts inventory and work with Facilities Manager to replenish as needed
  • Assist with general facilities and equipment maintenance projects, including general repair, electrical, mechanical, electronics, and fire/life safety



  • 3+ years experience in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of processing, packaging, and material handling equipment, ideally in a food manufacturing/production environment
  • Deep familiarity with heavy electrical, pneumatic, PLC controls, and hydraulic systems
  • Able to accurately assess problems make recommendations, communicate effectively, and resolve issues quickly while working under pressure
  • Ability to safely lift and maneuver up to 45 pounds on a regular basis and stand for an entire shift
  • Able to work in an industrial, cold room environment with moderate/intermittent noise
  • Perform all duties in accordance with our Good Manufacturing Practices policy
  • Familiar with LOTO rules
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards, laws and regulations a plus
  • Perform duties effectively in a highly diverse teamwork environment
  • Scheduling flexibility – we are a three-shift environment
  • Basic computer skills
